Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Compensation: $16.55/hr (30 hr / week)

Toronto Revellers Cultural Association, founded in 2006 is a collective of over 2000 masqueraders, volunteers, and designers who contribute to the annual Toronto Caribbean Carnival and is dedicated to promotion and supporting Canada’s multi-cultural landscape by celebrating the rich diverse culture and traditions of the Caribbean community.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant role is crucial in supporting the smooth operation of the Toronto Revellers office. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented administrative assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in administrative tasks, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The administrative assistant will provide administrative support to various departments within the organization, helping to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
● Manage sponsors, clients, volunteers and vendors database;
● Assist with the preparations PowerPoint presentations;
● Assist with the planning and creation of summer programming and fundraising events;
● Liaise with non-profit partners to ensure their objectives are being met
● Greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner
● Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and packages
● Maintain electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring accuracy and organization
● Perform data entry and maintain databases accurately
● Assist with special projects and events as assigned
● Collaborate with other administrative staff to support overall office operations
Qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies
● Must be between the ages of 15 and 30 to apply
● Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and eligible to work in Ontario
● Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
● Very efficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
● Adaptable to a multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
● Excellent communication and customer relation skills
● Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
● Attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks
● Professional demeanor and customer-focused attitude
● Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
